Rokenbok Construction World Build Project
We spent this session on a Rokenbok Construction World Build project where the College Mentors helped the students build a Construction Site.
Monday, October 20
Rokenbok Construction World Challenge
In this session we divided the boys into two teams. Each Team was given two Lycoming College Mentors to coach them through the Challenge. Each Team was also given two activities to complete. In the first activity each team was given 20 Red and 20 Blue Construction Balls to move across the Construction Site to their respective sorters. They were given 10 points for each Ball correctly moved. The last competition was a timed activity were they were given point value for the seconds it took them to deliver 50 Construction Balls across the Site using a combination of Rokenbok Vehicles. The teams earned points and the winning team received a $15 gift certificate to Ed’s Market.

Our Nation, Session 3: Career Quest
In this session we polled the boys regarding their most memorable experience, what they learned, and what they felt was a success for them. We enjoyed pizza and snacks.

In Spring we spent two weeks on a Rokenbok build project where the College Mentors helped the students build a Construction Site. In a final week competition teams were made with both Curtin and WAMS students. The competition was in two parts. The teams earned points and the winning team received a $15 gift certificate to Ed’s Market.

More than Money
Volunteers for the Williamsport Vision Team used materials from Junior Achievement (JA) for a series of sessions with a select group of students at Curtin Intermediate School in Williamsport. The unit, entitled “More than Money,” involved sessions after school during the Fall of 2024.
Fall dates were September 19, 26; October 3, 10, 17 at Curtin Intermediate School.
